Who stays with us in Snowdonia
Walking and climbing clubs come for Yr Wyddfa, the Glyderau and the Gwydir Forest, and there’s a bike rack in the garage for anyone bringing wheels. Schools, university societies and Duke of Edinburgh groups like us as an affordable place to stay inside the national park, and we’re easy to reach by train.

Can we book the whole hostel for our group?
Yes, you can. Your group gets the dorms, the private rooms and the shared spaces all to yourselves. Send us your dates and numbers and we’ll check availability and send a quote.
How many people can you sleep?
With a mix of dorms and private rooms we can fit groups of lots of sizes. Let us know how many of you there are in the enquiry form and we’ll tell you what we can offer for your dates.
Is it self-catering?
Not fully, as we don’t have a guest kitchen. There’s a kettle, microwave and fridge, plus a long table to sit round, and the Waypoint cafe and bar is downstairs.
What is there for outdoor groups nearby?
Lots. Betws-y-Coed is inside the national park, with forest trails close by and Yr Wyddfa a bus ride away. There’s a bike rack in the garage too, so just bring your own locks.
Do you host school and DofE groups?
Yes, we’d love to have you. Schools, Duke of Edinburgh groups and university societies are all welcome, and the beds are affordable.
How do we get a quote and book?

How do we get to Base Camp Snowdonia?
We’re in Betws-y-Coed, about ten minutes’ walk from the station on the Conwy Valley line. Minibuses are fine too, though parking at the hostel is limited, so you may need to use the village car parks.
